Just pair the Charge 3 with this device and bring up the app. If you have a smart device capable of running the JBL Portable app, you can see the speaker’s battery indicator there as well. JBL Charge 3 Bluetooth rechargeable speaker battery indicator at eighty percent of full charge. This light never flashes red while charging is going on. When you connect power, this red flashing light begins blinking white. It only flashes red when the battery is almost dead and AC power has not yet been applied to the speaker. Instead, it means that the speaker battery is quite low, nearly dead, and should be recharged right away. This does not mean that charging is proceeding.
